Scripps Ranch Neighborhood Guide

Scripps Ranch is a quiet suburb of San Diego about 17 miles northeast of the city. It’s a favorite for families with small children because of the first-class schools and quiet atmosphere. The clean scent of eucalyptus from the many large trees planted here and there, especially along Pomerado road, wafts on the breeze. Residents can enjoy the parks and outdoor recreation, such as Sunday concerts at Hoyt Park during the summer and boating on Lake Miramar. Mission Trails Regional Park is on the south border of the neighborhood as well.

Freeway access is through Interstate-15 and State Route 52, so this area is easily accessible. Many of the residents commute to jobs in other parts of the county, although Hitachi, LG, and Lockheed have corporate offices here, providing for a good neighborhood economy. Scripps Ranch Village Shopping Center is the main commercial area, and there are a number of stores and services to be found in the triangle formed by I-15 and Pomerado Road.

Real estate here is a combination of detached single-family homes, townhouses, and apartments, so there’s something for everyone.
