Torrey Hills Neighborhood Guide

Torrey Hills is a 784-acre community in north San Diego that was originally part of Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. It’s been fully built up since around 2010, with a combination of apartments, condos, townhouses, and detached single-family residences. The main street is Vista Sorrento Parkway on the west side, which runs parallel to Interstate 5.

Right across I-5 is a commercial district, complete with San Diego’s requisite craft brewery and dog training and boarding facilities. Torrey Hills Park is close by, with a large field for football and soccer, as well as other facilities that can be enjoyed by the whole family. For those who wish to enjoy the quintessential SoCal lifestyle, the Pacific is only a few miles away. Torrey Pines State Reserve features beaches, hiking trails, and lagoons to explore. Torrey Pines Golf Course is also here if you want to get in a few rounds before dinner.

Running along the north side of Torrey Hills is State Route 56, with Carmel Valley beyond it. Los Penasquitos Canyon wraps around the community from the south and southeast.
